Role & Responsibilities
Leading all aspect of Storage and Backup operations activities - assuring operational integrity, availability of services, and lifecycle management.
Leading change, promoting innovation, building team capacity, driving accountability, empowering your team, collaborating x-functionally, and demonstrating passion
Working closely with Compute, Database, and Data Center peers and clients
Driving requirements for operational automation and tooling across Storage teams (working w/ arch & design teams)
Contributing to ongoing enhancement, integration and productivity improvement of Storage and Backup environment
Responsible for operational metrics, change quality, security compliance and process optimizations
Contributing to strategic roadmap planning and alignment of Storage and Backup services across GIS
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
BS/CS/Business or equivalent
2+ years of managing storage and backup environments
Ability to collaborate globally, accelerate team productivity and effectiveness, and lead disruptive change
Strong intellectual and technical depth in Infrastructure technologies, not limited to Linux/Windows OS, SAN/NAS, Virtualization, Database and/or similar IT infrastructure technologies
Prior program owner/service owner experience desired.
